A members-only Saturday afternoon hunt. Random teams of four. Sealed envelopes, no phones, no maps — just clues, instincts, and the central city. The faster you find him, the more bar tab is left when you do.
A couple of years ago Kaden, Morgan and Jessie hopped the ditch for the Torian Pro. What they didn't know is that on their detour through Bali on the way home, a sneaky little Balinese green gecko stowed away in their gym bag. His name is Gaz.
He built his hut in the long grass out front of GRC — yes, the patch Finn's dog Thump likes to piss on — and hasn't left since. Watching every session. Cheering on every PB. The littlest, most encouraging supporter we've got.
But he's had enough. The PB bell has been rung too many times for his ears to take. He's torn up his tenancy agreement and he's leaving for the big city.
Where's he moving to? He's hosting his house warming at one of ten central-city bars — and he hasn't told us which one. The faster you find him, the more celebrating you get to do.
Sign-ups close Wed 20 May · 12pm. Harry takes everyone who's in, randomly assigns teams, and announces them that same evening. Pick a captain, pick a name, pick a matching look — then meet at the Bridge of Remembrance on Saturday at 3pm and start hunting.
Every team gets a stack of ten envelopes — one for each bar on the board. Pull one at random and head to that bar. Don't know where it is? Ask a stranger. That's half the fun.
Walk in. Scan the room. No Gaz? You're staying. Drinks at the bar, envelope on the table, a challenge tied to wherever you've landed. Crack it, then pick the next bar.
Every bar Gaz isn't at is a bar he's already drinking on yours. The faster your team tracks him down, the more of the pooled tab is still standing when you walk in. Late teams get the dregs.
One meeting point, one timestamp. Be at the Bridge of Remembrance at 3pm sharp — full rules and all the questions get handled there, then the hunt is on.
Full detailed instructions and rules get covered at the 3pm briefing. These are the ones you need to know now — so you can pick your captain and plan your look.
No Google Maps, no Snap Maps, no Find My Friends, no googling for answers, no AI. The team captain is the one exception — and only to take evidence photos of drinks ordered and challenges completed. If you don't know where a bar is, ask a stranger.
At every bar, before opening the envelope, every member of the team orders a drink. Alcoholic or non-alcoholic — your call. Once you've all got a drink in hand, crack the envelope and tackle the challenge inside.
Once teams are announced on Wed 20 May evening, start the comms. You'll need a captain (phone-holder, photo-taker) and a team name. You're also encouraged to coordinate a look — matching coloured t-shirt, a hat, anything that sets you apart. Get creative.
Don't open the envelope. Don't start a challenge. Hand over your evidence photos and your completed challenge answers from the bars you've already been to. Gaz will check.
If your photos and challenge answers don't check out, your team gets a penalty. We're not telling you what it is. If everything is kosher, you're in — the house warming officially begins for your team. 🥳
A handful more nudges between now and Saturday. Save them — the Wednesday drop names your team, the Saturday-afternoon nudge is your last reminder before kickoff.
